Frequently asked questions
What is Norteia?
A finance app for people and businesses that also works in the browser. You organize categories and transactions, set monthly goals and follow reports such as Cash Flow, Income Statement (DRE) and Open Values.
Is it for businesses and for personal use?
Yes. For personal use, simply use income and expense categories and follow your goals. For businesses, the Business plans let you create companies with their own finances, invite your team and set permissions; categories follow the income statement groups, which helps you see the result.
Can I use it on a computer?
Yes. Besides the app, Norteia works in the browser, with the same account and the same data.
How do I create a company?
With an active Business plan, open the Companies menu, choose to create a company and give it a name. Then invite members, who must already have a Norteia account, and pick each one's role.
Do company members need a plan?
No. The plan belongs to the company owner and covers all of its members.
What happens to the company if the plan ends?
The company becomes read-only: nothing is erased and the data stays available. When you subscribe again, it accepts changes again.
What is the DRE?
The DRE (Demonstrativo de Resultado do Exercício) is an income statement: a report that starts at gross revenue and deducts deductions, costs, expenses and taxes to reach the result of the period.
Which features are paid?
Exporting reports as PDF and Excel, importing and exporting transactions by spreadsheet and custom dashboards are part of the Premium plan. Business plans include all of that plus creating companies. Prices and conditions appear in the app.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions made through the App Store or Google Play are managed in your store account. Those made in the browser are managed on Norteia's Subscription page.
